Cabbage soup diet

The cabbage soup diet has been around for a long time now. Proponents claim that this particular brew of cabbage soup has fat burning properties and has negligible calories. There are also claims that it aids detoxification of your system.

When I happened upon it, I looked at the cabbage soup diet as a alternative to a diet rich in fatty junk foods. It is not something that will last because it is very monotonous and terribly regimented. People on the cabbage soup diet lose weight as a result of the low calorie intake and not because of the fat burning qualities of cabbage. For long term weight loss it certainly will not provide sufficient vitamins and minerals for optimum health and wellbeing.

The cabbage soup diet revolves heavily around a staple cabbage soup with additional add ons daily.

Ingredients of the cabbage soup

All the ingredients are chopped up finely and then boiled in water till soft.

The cabbage soup diet regimen

This is repeated but as you can see, it is a very restricted diet regime and whilst it may give you some short term success, long term weight loss isn't achievable.
