Dr Phil as you would well know is a regular on the Oprah Winfrey show. He's started a Dr Phil diet which is a diet which is primarily focused on getting back control of your life by controlling your diet.

What is the Dr Phil Diet?

Let's start with what it's not - it's not a calorie counter. You do not track your carbohydrates or proteins or fats. Dr Phil believes that if you are overweight, you are out of control and by changing the way you think and re-establishing that control, the weight will come off as you change the way you think about dieting, food, and your health.

In his book, he talks about 7 keys to self control and when these are ingrained into you, you will never go back to overeating again. Dr Phil addresses all the hidden reasons behind why people overeat and starts from identifying the deeper problem before moving onto a diet plan that caters to you. It's a lot different to the diets that are out there now which only address the issues from the outside - the constant weigh-ins, the calorie counting, the cravings.
